Ok just carried this out no bother accept the fans didn't kick on unless the heaters were switched on? I left it running for easily 20mins then even took it for an Italian tune up still never noticed fans kicking in. Any ideas?

Is it overheating (but I'm guessing you would have mentioned it)? If not, then the flow of air around/through/over the radiator is sufficient to keep the temp below that reqd to operate the fan thermostat. Don't worry unless it does overheat.

EDIT - Are you saying that when you turn on the interior heater fan, then the radiator fan comes on at the same time?

No not overheating.
And yes I switch on the heaters and the radiator fans kick in.
Been out and give it a boot but it must not be getting hot enough. Running fine.

Well, I'm glad it's not overheating... and so I stand by the first paragraph of my previous post.

But I don't understand that the rad fan runs when you turn the heater on:confused:... hopefully someone else can answer that.

Mind you, Civics are weird!:worms:

The fans did the same thing before I changed the coolant. So not worried.

This is climate control.
Fans come on by default wether needed or not to cater for the extra heat in the AC matrix

The engine management light came on but I think it cos I tried to start the car with the fuel rail plug disconnected. It made it easier to get to the bleed valve.
error said fuel pressure high? used the OBD to clear it.

The OBD phone thingy said the coolant temp never went above 80 degrees. the car was idle for 20mins before i took it out.
