Need some new tyres for my trusty EX 2.2 Diesel, 225/40 R18.

Currently have the Falken 452's. They seem ok but the front near side has a nail in it and needs replacing early as its too close to the shoulder to repair

I could just put a new 452 on but the rears have also had the dreaded inside wear and are at about 3mm on one side and 4mm on the other. The other front is in good condition.

So I need 3 tyres really, just seeing what the other oil burning folk use.

Continental sport contact3 - excellent predictable grip but only lasted 12 months
Goodyear eagle f1 assymetric 2 - not bad...better last longer than the sc3s though or Ill go back to them.

What are the Falken ZE912 like?

I have them on at the moment. I can't really say much as I don't have any experience with other brands to compare them with. All I can say is that I am happy for the price I paid and overall good grip on dry and wet.

They're not discontinued from what I understand, they just updated the design.

You can also get Toyo T1R Sports, which is what I'm using on mine at the moment - supposed to be better.

So far I'm quite impressed.

Kumho KU37s (or KU39s) better ride quality, road noise level than anything I've tried, great dry and wet grip and feedback £60 a corner, I'd happily pay £120.
