Hey Guys. Are the stock speakers / soundsystem pretty rubbish? Mine isn't really that great when turning up that volume sounds distorted and struggles.. just wondering what the issue could be or if it's normal?.. I used to own a Kia Cee'd which had a similar issue which was resolved by unplugging the stereo fuse for 10 seconds or so then putting it back in.. does the Civic have a similar issue? Cheers in advance

Quality wise it won't win any prizes but it's not too bad

I would love to change the headunit but I have the nav head unit and don't think I can (can I ???) Without losing the nav

Changed mine to a pioneer and the sound is far better, although not as good still as my previous Audi A3 with a pioneer headunit and the BOSE system fitted

Ahh, then that's something to look at in the future. Not keen on pulling apart the dash just yet. I'll give it a few months, let summer (if we have one) get here

After moving from a 2004 Vectra im finding the stereo, or rather the sound quality, in the Civic is very poor.
yeah pretty rubbish after moving from a AUDI A3 with BOSE
Better now though after i replaced it with a Pioneer AVH-X490DAB
Might change the speakers asell at a later date
