Hello

Just had my second year service on my Type R

Note Brake Pad wear 40% front, 80% rear?

Cannot find last years report, but I think it was 40% front and 50% rears

Strange that the rear pads wear out quicker than the fronts?

Just had mine replaced after 3 yrs. rear pads were all crumbling apart on the corners! Missing at least 1cm. Got
Cosworths all round now.

2 main reasons the rear wear out quickly.
1. VSA operating the rear brakes to keep you in line and
2. pads tend to get siezed in the carrier section of the caliper and stick on... these carriers need to be really spotless under the stainless plates the pads sit on or the same will happen again.slightly modified pads now being supplied i believe to combat the seizures.

Crazy, that 3 years on mine are still healthy and normal in the sense that I have more on the rears than fronts.
