Hi guys,

I'm trying to find some service information for my 66 plate 1.6 I-DTEC.
I don't have mine serviced by Honda, but a local Honda specialist near to Cannock who normally deal with type R's or similar.
This is the 6th year service so should be a "major" service, but I'd like to know the details of what it should include, and if there are any special additions required at this stage.
Can anyone advise some details for me please?

Cheers

Ross

If I remember correctly it is a major one that also includes the diesel fuel filter being replaced. When I had my 1.6 Tourer it was the first one I had to pay for after the 5 years package that it came with had ended and cost over £400 at the Honda dealer in 2021.

Hi , had our 16 plate 1.6 I-DTec for 6year service in February, was advised to have gear box oil and engine coolant replaced on top of service due to age of the car. Ours is on a service plan. Battery failed test , but replaced under warranty . Honda batteries ( Varta ) only seem to last 12 months on this car. Was thinking of replacement with Glass mat battery next time . Our only gripe with the car. Easy to drive, plenty of power. Apart from the battery , on its second set of brake discs / pads and a drop link replaced.
