AFIK that is the latest.. it's the same as my car which was made in July last year.

Very little info out there about it.... Similar models in the US 2013 Civics and new CR-V, but ours has the AV input/DVD playback that the US ones don't.

Not sure how the update is done either... Via DVD disk or USB? again some Honda Acura models with HDD nav have a second hidden USB port above/behind the glovebox (Ours doesn't.. unless hidden elsewhere) and others update via the existing USB port... but again, when in the developer menu, ours shows the USB as not connected (This is because our usb port goes into the I-MID and playback is handled by the i-mid (as are all 9g Civics)

My guess is that the update is via a DVD and the USB port on the HDD nav is disabled.

The US manual states:

Honda is continually expanding the scope
of the navigation system. Navigation
system software upgrades may be made
available periodically, usually in the fall of
each year.
To purchase an updated data file:
1. Obtain your vehicle’s VIN number and
the System/Device Information.
2 System/Device Information P. 165
2. Call the Honda Navigation Disc
Fulfilment Center at (888) 549-3798, or
order online at The Official Honda Map Update Site.
Update data is not available from your
dealer. However, the dealer may assist you
in obtaining an update data for you out of
courtesy. There is no program for free
updates.
Presumably a similar setup will appear fr the UK ?

Not free I bet

I would think the usual £150+ probably
No mention of cost but I expect you are right. I got the impression that they would have to do it hence the original question. There must be a way we can do it ourselves.

Obviously I'm only guessing, but I bet there's a SD card slot or DVD as suggested that gets delivered and you then have to input a provided serial number as confirmation.
