A lad I work with has a 57 plate Civic, think it's an EX but not 100% but shouldn't matter too much.

He's had the rear brakes changed recently and after a couple weeks the ABS and VSA lights are displaying on his dash. Because of the time period between the brakes being done and the lights coming on, there's a slight suspicion the two relate somehow but difficult to prove either way.

Does anyone have an idea of what may be the cause or the fix?

Thanks

There a plenty of reports like this, typically a sensor fails or the pickup ring need a good clean.

Have a search around and let us know how you get on.

I had the same issue a few weeks back, I ended up replacing both rear sensors and cleaned both rings. So far no more fault. The diagnostic machine in the garage couldn't determine the actual fault.
