Hello TDi North

Used to have a FN2 CW and used the forum a lot and in my plans to maybe buy a Accord Type R from 2000 in the near future I thought of you guys. Since it obviously is very difficult to tune the H22A7.

So my question is do you guys tune this engine and where can you buy performance bolt on parts for it?

Best regards

Rune

Yes and us. :)
Hondata S300 is your friend and don't listen to stories about idle control. If you know how to map a car you don't need idle control valves ;)

Hi Paul I used to have an accord type r and still use the accordr forum, it seems to be cropping up a lot on there recently regarding remapping them. And also the need for swapping the iacv to a 2 wire unit. It may be benificial to you and accord owners/members on what you can do ***** carl

We spoke about this. Yes everyone wants a solution but there is one available in the Hondata S300 ECU and a custom tune and with that I can get around the ICV issue with "magic" and without further modification but like a lot of forums everyone is interested and in theory wants it but when it comes to committing it all goes quiet.

Yea I posted this early hours, thought it would be easier asking on Facebook. It's a shame really as there a good car but there's a lot of bad examples about now and I think people like asking about the remap but then don't want to spend half the value of the car on it

It's actually getting like that with the EP3.
People convincing themselves a £99 manifold and a £20 ebay intake is as good as a £1200 Toda and £450 Tegiwa/GM ...... Then arguing the toss with me because their car doesn't make the same power as a car with GM and Toda manifold setup and its all my fault!

Yeah there's a lot of r and d with the stuff that makes power hence it cost a hell of a lot more and I can see it becoming annoying for yourself explaining the same old thing
