Hi folks,

admins....not sure wether this should be here, in general or stickied. Can you fix please

Hi Michael

Following on from our earlier conversation, we can indeed do a club
activity day for you.

The way we look at it, a day on the airfield costs the same whether
you book it for 2 or 20 people, you're booking the area and one
instructor. For an activity day you can run up to 25 cars, its the car
you book on, not the person, although we recommend 20-22 as the ideal.
You then split the costs between
the number of cars to get your individual price.

For a weekday the costs are £796 for airfield and one instructor +£150
for second instructor.

For a Sunday its £1100 for airfield and one instructor +£150 for
second instructor.

Unfortunately we can't run Saturday dates.

You need a second person for an activity day as there are a lot of
cars so two areas are often run. Once a club is established with us
you can provide your own second person but the first day we advise we
provide this so we can get to know your organisation and you all see
how we work.

We would need total payment by 28 days before the day. If your booking
runs into diffuculty we can open it out for you to fill in any gaps.

If you do not want to book a whole day but have a few members
interested we do run public days of our own that you can bulk book a
few spaces on.

Details of the day can be found on our website

http://www.carlimits.com/script/viewEvents.php?type=airfieldactivity

with the added info that there is always an instructor on hand to give
advice and tips but it is not individual tuition. The car is the one
taking the place in the queue, its up to the driver who takes the turn
and we ask that each driver brings no more than one passenger or it
gets a bit silly. We also warn the local pub that you will all be
descending there for lunch, they do reasonably good price meals and
are used to turning our groups round quickly. [smilie=cheeky-grin: :popcorn2:

Hope this is of help, let us know if I can help further

Regards

Di Clarke

I said I would ask around ?
Is any one up for this ?
Suggestions ideas welcome

I def want to do the Car Limits day, especially as it is only 10 minutes up the road from me. HOT (Hondas-on-track) organise days there, so I would wait till they do and go with them lot. They are planning to organise it when the weather gets a bit warmer as it is freezing out on that airfield.

Well maybe ??!!?!

Depends how rough you intend to be with your lady and how tough her shoes are.

If its nice and wet and been chucking it down (what I am hoping for) the tyres should be ok and you can get lots of safe sliding going. Well as safe as it gets anyway. Find out the real cars limits and how it behaves VSA on/off.

If its dry.....then it might be an idea to just find the limits of understeer and oversteer and not push it further. At least you can find out more about the car and see if you need FRS setup changes. Unless you like blue smoke and the smell of burning rubber....and have £400 for spares.
