Hi Guys,

So i've had the car regassed a few months ago, there was no leaks and the pressure is good, i've had the relay switch replaced and that fixed the compressor engagement issue. But now i've noticed that when using the AC the air does blow cool but not exactly cold.

I've set fan speed to max and lo setting on the temp and I get a good amount of air just not as cold as I would expect. Anyone know what I can do to fix that?

Thanks,

Lots of threads on the forum about AC, you may well have a leak now the re gas has put more pressure in the system to show it up otherwise make sure the cabin filter is changed it will improve air flow.

Thanks Painter,

Yeah I've been reading up on a lot of these threads, but I've not seen anyone with the same problem as me, it's either blowing hot air, not working at all, intermittently working etc.

I'll have a look at the filter to see if that helps but I don't think it's a leak as when i had it regassed it wasn't particularly low the problem then was actually electrical. Any other reasons why it could be blowing cool instead of cold?

Several sensors at work on the AC could be an issue there also the ambient temperature is up and down with this weather at the moment, when the outside temp is lower the evaporator does most of the cooling in high temps the compressor works harder so perhaps wait until the warmer weather sets in before panicking too much.
As I said earlier you may still have sprung a leak in the condenser caused by the higher pressure after re gassing finding a weak spot, assuming it has UV dye in the system now that will quickly check and eliminate that side of things.

Alright fair enough, is there anyway I can check for a leak or is it best to take it to a garage to have a look?

Defo best take it to an air con specialist, not just any garage. Could be absolutely anything which I'm finding out myself.
