I have recently developed bearing noise on my 2007 2.2 diesel. My local mechanic has taken a good look, removed the auxiliary belt and deduced that the noise is coming from the compressor. The mechanic first replaced the alternator belt tensioner as this was also making a bearing noise as well but I'm now left with the compressor noise. Strangely the bearing noise first started the day I had the car back from a Honda main dealer service!

Can anyone help me by telling where the bearings are situated? I am trying to find out whether I need to replace all or just part of the compressor? i.e. just the clutch set? The link below from Lings Honda parts shows the different components supplied

Any help greatly appreciated!!:)
