Hi,

The air con occasionally works but 80% of the time it does not. The relay has been changed and confirmed it is working by trying it in another civic. I suspect it is the clutch slip I've read about on here. However, all the air con specialists i approach, want to re-gas it first, which i know is a waste of time as when it works it is ice cold. Can anyone recommend a decent air con specialist around Lancashire. I would rather not visit a Dealer. Can anyone confirm whether i could get any error codes from the car via flashpro or other means.

Air-con systems are funny things, too little gas - they don't work properly, too much gas - they still don't work properly.

Instead of them gassing it up before they even know what the issue is, why don't they just plug in the high and low side of the system, to see if the amount is correct??? This, for me, seems the cheapest and most logical start to diagnoising the problem.

As for your other question - no idea, sorry.
