Hi guys and gals

I'm new to this forum and must say it's really helpful and informative.
I'm wondering if you dudes and dudettes out there can help with choosing an air filter for my fn2 type r.

I've done a bit of research and found 2...
A K & N air filter and a Pipercross. :-s

What do you guys have and what one would yous recommend?
Also do yous know anywhere I would be able to get one from?

All your responses will be really helpful.

Cheers
Al

I've never had a K&N in my FN2 but I've had one in every other car I've owned and found them to be brilliant.

I believe HKS also do a replacement panel filter, so you've got plenty of choice.

The write up on the Do-luck is worth reading, I think its on Carolines website.

I've got the k and n makes a nice noise even though it's just a drop in panel filter. It will outlast your car it's that durable.

If Mugen are using it in their air box it's good enough for me

The filter element wont make any difference to power or sound so dont change it for this reason.

The only real reason to get an uprated element is durability, as it saves changing it as often.

You know that is not true. It does make a difference in power but it is not noticeable. And I can honestly say there is a difference in sound. FACT.

Have a look
