Ok. I know this is a common fault but my alarm has randomly gone off a few times lately.

I've read the lithium battery can die in the siren and no way I'm taking it to dealer to fix.

Questions tho:

1. Does this battery recharge itself off main car battery as I've done alot more miles this week and haven't had an issue since?

2. The red LED on dash comes on for about 2 secs when i turn car on. Then again for 2 secs when i turn car off. Don't remember it doing this before. Though alarm sets perfectly fine off key fob and light blinks when set as it should.

3. How do i remove the boot liner as i know siren is in drivers side rear quarter?

4. I know the siren has a plug on it do would it cause any issues to simply unplug the little sod?

Any help or advice appreciated!

The bonnet catch sensor failing is the most common issue with Civic alarms.

Try disconnecting the sensor.

I think so but others have struggled. Open off the plastic slam panel and that should make it easier to locate.

Good luck sorting it out, alarm issues are very frustrating.
