Hey guys and girls,

My car alarm (Honda Civic Type R FN2 57 plate) has started since Monday going off randomly! It won't shut up, I've tried slamming the doors etc, using the spare key and locking it using the key in the door. Nothing's worked, it goes off anytime it wants, 10 times in 5 minutes then it might not go off again for an hour! Really don't know what to do other than leave it unlocked which I really don't like.

Any advice in what it could be and how I could fix it? Just moved house and really don't want my neighbours hating me already haha

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

Had this on the wife's Civic a few weeks ago, turned out to be a faulty bonnet lock micro switch, I disconnected the wiring to it (connector just behind it ) and it stopped the annoying alarm sounding every few minutes. Replaced with new lock assy now and all good again. But in fairness there are probably similar switches on the tailgate lock, and doors too. I was lucky in going straight to a fairly common failure point.
