Well its been a few months since I first got the FN2 and signed up to here so I'm a bit late starting a thread on here but here it is anyway :)

Well this is my 3rd Honda I've bought. The first being a 1992 Honda Del Sol Esi. Then I bought a 1997 Civic EK and I've modified that extensively. Which now currently runs skunk2 pro1 cams, mugen airbox, spoon n1, hondata S300, Blue DC5 Recaros etc, the list is endless.

Anyway, need meets old...

So then the first couple of months I was good and managed to stay mod free, but then I crumbled.

Always had wind deflectors so these were my first purchase



Slight modification needed with the Team Heko deflectors (trim the very bottom off), nothing major which cant make them to be fitted in under 30 mins :)





At the same time I might have went out and bought some Enkei NT03's from Rarerims, cheers Julian :thumbup:

These are 17x8 with an 35ET offset and sit perfect in my opinion wrapped in some 225/45/17 Yoko's.



And when I fitted the wheels I sneakily fitted some Eibach pro-kit lowering springs too (Cheers ABP) and some Camber Bolts.

After fitting them springs, I knew it will have affected the geometery of the car so I would need to get it set up, but I also knew that I wouldnt be using the rear seats which would affect the geometry once I remove them so I didnt get it done straight away.

Anytime I need 4 seats i'm with the gf so we can use hers so its not an issue.
Firstly, took a few photos just for reference for when I come to reinstall the rear seats.







Out you come sorry little seatbelt clip



Labelled up the nuts and bolts into bags and Goodbye Honda accessories for now (They will be fitted back on long journeys just incase)



There will be more of the interior coming out at a later date but I had been pestered by so many neighbours who were interested in what I was doing with a "new" car lol so I was running a bit late for work and had to leave everything.

All cleaned, packed up and fully sealed so they will stay as good as new.



And what it looks like for now...





Total weight saved from interior was 45kg! along with the 16kg from the Enkeis is just about as good as fitting a gruppe m for power to weight ratio lol. 61KG Lost

Fitted a HID kit the other day, took the ballasts from my old Peugeot and ordered some H7 Bults from Hidsdirect.

Firstly, I cut the back bulb covers so the bulb cables and connectors would fit through
Using this...



to end up with this... (tidied it up before fitting)





Couldnt help but take a photo of my EK while in the garage



Then fitted them and placed the grommit into place (I know it isnt in the photo)

Just ordered the HKS 6 line brake kit so just waiting until the new year to fit the following...
DC5 Brembo 4pots with brand new seal kit and repainted
New Grooved S2000 Discs
DC5 Brembo Pads (Maybe some track discs/pads too)
HKS Lines
Motul dot5.1

What did you use on your tyres? They are ridiculously clean and shiny :)

Good luck with the registration plate! I'de be stopped within 5 minutes round here if i was displaying one like that.

tbh i dont like the colour/size or looks of the wheels, lights look good but again tbh not a fan of the plates either!
looked sweet with the rages

Hi mate, at the moment im doing the brembo/s2000 disc conversion to my fn2.

Make sure your wheels have the right offset to clear the calipers, i thought i was going to be fone with Rota P1's but i got caught out. Im having to use Blox extended wheel studs and 10mm spacers, it gives me 2mm of clearence (im fitting the studs / spacers at the back also to keep it all in line)

Rear studs are easy, Dont even get me started on fitting front studs, taking the hubs off are a pain in the arse. after much swearing and tool throwing i followed the "ford" boys prefered route and whipped out the grinder.

just my experience but wanted to let you know its not quite as simple as some make out lol good luck :D

Your expertise may help me!...Hopefully!
My Brake Guards are rusty as anything; I refuse to pay £120 for new ones..when mine still do the job.

Are they easy to take off; as I want to remove the rust and paint them and reinstall them? As I dont want the rust to transfer to my Brand New Brake Discs :)

Afraid no mate, Honda in thier infinate wisdom decided to mount them so that the hub goes through a hole in the centre. to remove mine i had to cut them off (wasnt reusing them). However if you remove the calipers, pad holders and discs you expose the whole gaurd and you should be able to wire brush and repaint them before refitting the brakes. hope this helps

I use Meguiars tyre gel and put it on with an applicator pad after I've brush cleaned them.
Wheels are cleaned with wheel cleaner and a thin halfords brush which is perfect for getting in the gaps of the NT03's

Haha theres nothing wrong with it :D

I do agree the layout is slightly odd as I have www.hondanortheast.org.uk underneath it but I have had it on for 6 months now and never had no bother. The font is motorbike size so just slightly smaller than normal but enough to get away with it. I've had smaller on before lol.

Love your wheels... is it any faster with 17's on?
cheers dude, yeah I noticed it definately feels quicker accelerating/decelerating and on corners, saved ALOT of weight by changing from the rages.

tbh i dont like the colour/size or looks of the wheels, lights look good but again tbh not a fan of the plates either!

Fair enough mate, I love the enkei NT03's and them wheels are there for a purpose/function, the rages weigh a tonne! and I prefer function>form. Wider, better ofset lighter etc.

Cheer for the heads up mate but I dont have a problem with caliper clearance with the Enkeis as they have ET35 ofset which is more than enough :) it also means I dont have to use spacers/entended studs this way.

Sounds like a nightmare for doing that!! I do need to fit alignment shims on my rears, guessing thats not too hard?

Fn2 looks good mate lovin the EK too! :D
cheers fella :D I love my EK its so much better than the fn if i'm honest, well the spec of the EK now its modified anyway. Its a proper 230bhp lightweight weapon like. gutted im selling it :(
