I'm now due for my third set of alloys wheels due to excess corrosion. The dealer says they are corroding because the break dust is damaging the lacquer hence corrosion. So I was thinking of changing my breaks pads from the standard Honda to some EBC or something else that produces less break dust.

Those of you that have EBC or other are they better for your alloys and what would you recommend?

I presume that they are replacing them FOC. ?
They stopped using asbestos donkeys years ago and if the Honda clear coat, cannot handle the dust - It's their problem.
Stange though - The 17" alloys on mine stayed as good as new.?
Maybe, it's because I never cleaned them.

They are replacing free of charge but I had to twist their arm. They tried to get out of it by saying my warranty had expired but I raised this before it ran out. And the extended warranty they gave isn't worth the paper it's written on, apparently.

My 17" are Sedici which corrode just like the Storm alloys.

I clean with just a sponge, soft brush and normal shampoo so it has to be a problem with the lacquer.

I was looking at applying some Dynax on them but I don't know how they will react.
