I am trying to fit a set of Alpine SXE-1725S speakers to the front of my 57 plate Civic Type-r.
Having a few problems, i followed the link on the how to site for your front speaker adapter but can you tell me if you had to dril the door panel on your car? Also wondered they dont seem to sit flush? I havent drilled or fitted yet as i dont want to damage anything. Can anyone help in any way?

Need more info and preferably pics.

If you mean fixing the MDF type speaker rings to the door, then yes, you'll need to drill and screw them on. I hope your not alluding to fixing them to the door (card) panel itself, though!

If they're not flush with the adaptors in place, you may need thicker speaker adaptors. 18mm MDF, i think was sufficient for me.

I didn't drill the doors for mine. I used araldite and this worked fine. Just remember to follow the instructions (leave the bonded objects for about 1hr)

Thanks guys, i removed the door card but the new speakers wouldnt fit flush with the speaker adapters.
I was just looking for some hints, i will try and upload some pics.
