As alot of people have been asking is it always a must to upgrade clutch after remap or just the odd time?
I've had the car a couple of month and I'm very happy with it but would like a bit more pace about it, after coming from a celica GT4 I miss that extra ooomf (I know it's never gonna be that fast) My cars got 116,000 on clock, full Honda service history so do you guys think it would of had the upgraded clutch done at some point or is it just luck it hasn't went? Thanks for any advise

It may have, it may not. Have you got the previous owners details on the log book? If so contact them and ask if they had the clutch replaced.

That's what I'm worried about as I know it's not cheap for a good clutch
It was a lease car from new before I purchased it so I'm guessing if It did start slipping it would of got changed straight away hmmmm I'll try get in contact with the company cheers

It will always be a guessing game buddy. Have the car tuned and budget for a clutch. The longer you get out of your stock clutch, consider it a bonus. I've tuned plenty that are still on their stock clutch and going strong.. but equally, I've had those that last barely 1k miles... far too many variables to just blame a remap, but common sense dictates that an additional 50lbft going through your transmission is putting extra pressure on thngs...

Updated clutch???

Hi all. I posted yesterday about getting a remap and updating the clutch was mentioned. Just wondering now is there a sports or heavy duty clutch that should be fitted or just another standard one. Recommendations would be great.

Just have a search for CG motorsport 6 paddle clutch. Loads have been fitted to 2.2's.
