Hey guys,

So winter is coming and during winter there is more salt on the roads here in Lithuania than in the Dead sea.

It's quite popular to leave your car in a specialised shop to get it sprayed/painted with 'Dinitrol' or other anti-corrosion remedies.

I was thinking of doing it myself as the cost of this job is around 300 Euro in the shop, whereas the cost of the stuff itself would be 80 Euro tops. According to the shop, there should be factory-made holes to do the anti-corrosion work. The question is - are there really? Is there any kind of a 'map' for those?

Funnily enough I was underneath mine the other day looking at this and all I can say is that the holes are fairly obvious. I’m not sure if they’re deliberate ‘corrosion prevention access’ holes, more likely just manufacturing process left-overs. If you whip off the undertrays and just fill every hole, you can’t really go wrong.

Great to know that! What about doors/lifting sills? Holes there as well? I wonder if you're supposed to spray that wax inside through the drainage holes on the doors...

Very messy so be prepared, PPE is a must glasses, mask, gloves and disposable overalls, holes all the way down the sills and the inner archers just pull out the plugs and stick the nozzle in! Wherever I found a hole I sprayed, another bit of advice wrap the exhaust in tin foil and anywhere you don't want to get the wax,

Thanks for the advice! Going to give it a go on Saturday.
