Currently have a facelift EP3 that i will be selling if i decide to buy an FN2. Took one out for a test drive today and it felt very smooth compared to my EP3, power delivery wasnt as raw but was fast none the less.

I really like the look of them but cant decide if i felt too cramped driving it or not, looking at reviews everywhere most say its not as good as the EP3, but i fancy a newer car and want another jap.

How does the standard torsion beam rear suspension compare to the EP3's independent setup, is there any noticable difference on the road ? They raced both on the top gear video and the EP3 spanked it...i dont want to buy one and then wish i would of kept the EP3.

What bad reviews??????

The only bad review it got was on topgear and if you know anything about the K20 the looser the better, you race an EP3 against a brand new tight as a drum FN2 it's obviously going to beat it and given that the stig was in the EP3 and that auld fart was in the FN2 with a point to prove (that it's garbage) what did you expect?

FN2 is a great car, if you get a CW or a 10 plate with the diff handling will be far better than the EP3, having driven both I honestly can't see what the big deal with the EP3 is (over the FN2) both great cars, FN2 has more gadgets and looks better performance is 99% as good (admittedly not as raw)....no brainer tbh go for it ;)

I wouldnt take much notice of the Top Gear review as in the Top Gear mag when 'The Stig' drove it in a Hot Hatch test they crowed it the best Hot Hatch at the time and the Megane R26 was in the test as well. All I can say is I had a Megane 225 before my FN2 and the Civic is miles ahead in every way. My mate has an EP3 and he says mine doesnt seem as quick and the V-Tec Crossover seems a bit less pronounced but I love mine.

The Ep3 is definitely a more raw car. The FN2 is capable and then some with some mods but it's really about the styling and cavernous interior with the FN2.

Don't listen to reviews, go out test drive a few and make your own mind up. What you might like someone else might not. Clarkson is a muppet and everything on Top Gear is scripted i.e. not genuine review.

Plus the EP3 is now coming into the price range of the Corsa/Saxo chav brigade.... to you really want to be associated with that lot lol, plus the EP3 does look really dated now....

True about the EP3 being a more raw car but the FN2 with a HKS RSK will make the crossover sound plenty aggressive.

The chav reason wouldnt bother me, mines not a shed like alot of the cheaper ones lol. The FN2 did feel very nice and modern to sit in, the GT model is the one im looking at.

The LSD would be nice, but i think champ white and 2010 models will be out of my price range, only wanted to spend about £10k.

I want the 18's as i dont like the look of the 19's even though a lot of people do.

Apart from the 3rd/4th synchro issue on the 2007 is there anything to look out for.

10k will get you an 09 model on low milage.

The 3rd gear synchro issue was only really on the 07 models I think

Any idea if any of the colours had issues selling ? Dont want to buy one and then realise they never sold well so struggle to sell it on, like the look of all of them tbh even though the paint is as soft as mud.

go with miano red it always sells well silver has tougher paint its rumoured
Tbh ive seen a black one today and a silver one..and the silver one made my pants twitch, i really like them in silver, especially with a black GP pack ! Om nom nom. I like how they hide the dirt/any small scratches, they never look shiney, but do look clean.
