Hi all,

Just had a fitter install a connects2 in to my 2007 EX Sat Nav edition... the AUX in works fine but the "Audio" button is no longer functional so I can't display my radio station presets or view tracks/folders on the MP3 music discs that I have.

Any ideas on a resolve for this ??

Cheers, Mark

Audio button not working "57" ex model

Hi mark,

Just wondering did you resolve the issue with the audio button? I just had the aux input done for an iPhone and the audio button and voice control button stopped working? Is it just some wiring that could have got crossed or is it a major issue?

Thanks

Sultan

Hi mate.

Did get it sorted. Was a different specificcable for the EX with Sat Nav. Had the installer out and he sorted it with a Y lead that split between the sat nav and the aux/connects2 box.

All working fine now.

Thanks,

How much did it roughly cost to get it sorted? The audio specialist I used charged £170 and said they had used a verified honda part?!

Would it just be a honda specific y lead? I have no idea I just bought this car I think it's the same model as yours 57 plate ex 2.2 diesel

The set up uses a connects2 box which connects to the cd changer input on the stereo. It's only an aux in lead. No charging capability but I didn't need that. I paid £95 supplied and fitted :) works great. Occasional polling noise when my iPhone is plugged in but I can live with that.

I opted for the charging lead but I'm gonna have a talk with the fitter tomorrow and tell him about the Y lead!

Do you have the voice control button on your steering wheel? Mine was affected by the fit and has stopped working? I'm beginning to doubt this guy was a honda audio specialist lol

I have voice control but never use it so unsure. The voice dialling functions on the hands free all work as normal which isn't saying much I know! Before he rectified it I had no audio directions on the sat nav and the audio button literally did nothing.

Have you used Bluetooth to connect your phone up? According to the owners manual you use voice commands to install the phone onto list of linked devices and with out it I'm at a loss of how to connect?

Yes connected via Bluetooth.

Pressed the phone button (bigger one not the smaller voice command one) It beeps and I think the spoken command is "phone setup". She then tells you the setup options ... Pair etc. Mine definitely works since the aux install.

Did the Y cable work? i have a 56 plate civic EX sat nav model, installed one of these into the head unit

ebay dot co dot uk/itm/AUX-Adapter-Cable-for-Honda-Accord-2003-2011-Honda-Civic-2006-2011/282968172459?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

i can get power from the USB but pushing the Aux/CD button does nothing except play the CD in the cd player. The audio button doesnt work either which im assuming is due to me disconnecting the cable that was already in the Aux/CD changer part of the head unit.
