They 'just work' on my 10G and they certainly come on when it's a dull day when, if they didn't do it automatically, I would have done so manually myself for self preservation reasons.

You'll find the lights will come on in dull or shady areas, including but not limited to shady copses, tunnels and multistory car parks :p

The dealer may be able to adjust the sensitivity, but I'm not too sure.

I turned mine off as they nearly caused a collision.

I entered a section of road with a sort of tree lined tunnel and they came on. The driver waiting at a side junction thought I'd signalled to let them out.

How I missed them I don't know.

Now that I've installed HIDs with a longer bulb life than halogens, I mostly just leave the Headlights on dip 24/7,
Which allows me to benefit from the visibility of dips when driving along country lanes and moving along on the motorway, in addition to the rear lights also being illuminated.

Especially in winter, the extra visibility is far safer for myself and others in inclement weather, and it ensures I've got plenty of light for dimmer areas.

For the expense of 60w or so of energy, I'd rather see and be seen!
