Never had this problem before:

Today, when driving over catseyes when changing lanes, especially from left lane to right lane on motorway, a fairly loud bang noise when (it seemed) front right wheel drove over the catseyes.

Now I know I have a loose trim on that side on the front, where mudguard plastic mount meets right wheel arch plastic mount. But I have always had this since buying the car 11 months ago. The dealer wouldn't do it on warranty and said it just doesn't look pretty but shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure if this is anything to do with it or if it's the shocks or something.

Any advice greatly welcomed.

Thanks for that @Bench
I didn't mention the car was pretty full laden with holiday luggage so maybe that made it worse.
Will hopefully nip out later to try the catseyes with an empty boot.
Then a phone call to the dealers to see if I can get any work done under warranty.
