The Owners Manual for my Civic 1.8 lists six different Battery Specifications, ranging from 28 AH/5 HR to 74 AH/20 HR.
After suffering yet another Flat Battery recently my local dealer has agreed to replace it.
As I would be prepared to pay the difference to upgrade to a higher capacity battery I would like to know:
Will all the listed batteries fit in place?
Will the charging system cope with the higher capacity?
If the cause of the battery discharging is not an inherent battery fault, ie, a dodgy cell, will going to a higher capacity make any difference to the drain, time wise?
The car has previously been examined by a visiting Honda Factory Engineer and nothing found which could explain the discharge.

Batteries do come in different sizes, so not all would physically fit. I would have a word with your dealer, their technicians should be able to advise the best course of action.
