im about to book my fn2 in at tdi north for hks rsk, flash pro and fast road setup

ive been researching all three on here but ive not found an answer to this

ive read the flash pro removes the immobilser, was this a problem on the early flash pros or will it still be the case with the more recent Flash pro's

if so how will this effect my 2009 fn2? in my previous cars theres been a little led which changes to green once i press the alarm button, this isnt the case on my fn2, how much easier will it be to steal etc?

any info would be great

Flashpro does not effect the immobiliser you not thought about the injen kit? Paul thinks this is as good as the mugen ;)

really? i just read a few threads which stated a few people ended up buying immobilsers for £80?

ive been hounding youtube (not the best way of doing it i know)

i had a k&n typhoon on my ep3 so i want something of similar noise to that and i think the hks rsk does that!

I've had mine done recently at TDI north. There are no issues with flashpro and any of the electrical systems on FN2.

I think the old Hondata chip had those problems.

foul smell, those eibach springs are supposed to make the ride less harsh arent they?

i cant afford what im having done aswell as the springs yet so is it worth postponing the FRS until i get the eibachs do you think?

not entirely sure but i guess if i get the FRS done before the springs then i will have to have the FRS redone once different springs are installed!

Injen sounds like that to but it's sitted behind the fog light not up in all the heat of the engine bay... I got the mugen garnish kit to supply even more cold on to the filter ;)

Flashpro is fine with the electrics. The older Hondata Group N ECU (which I have) requires another immobiliser fitting. It also disables the oil temp sensor..
HKS RSK is VERY popular, I wouldn't mind one for the bling factor and they huge sound in v-tec but I have the K&N Apollo which is fine for now. I do always wonder about the RSK though, surely it is sucking in warm air?!
I would get springs at the same time as your FRS... FRS is one of the best mods, really changes the feel of the car :)

1. The springs make the ride less crashy. It's still firm, but without the smashing sensation.

2. If you plan to get Eibachs within say 6 months then don't get FRS now, as it will need re-doing. Have a chat with TDI see how much extra work it is, but I'm sure it is more efficient (in terms of labour costs) to do both at the same time.

Ref your questions on Flash Pro think it was the old ECU swap-a-rooney that lost immobiliser function. The new Flash-Pro writes to your ECU, so no problems with immobiliser.

And the HKS is a popular, good value induction kit. Be aware if you are sat in stationary traffic intake temps will rise, and take a few minutes normal running to cool. However it takes more air... and there are a few threads on here with complicated graphs depicting air density and temp etc... if you are dedicated get your head around those. If you want a great noise in VTEC, get the HKS!

Good luck, it starts here but where it stops, nobody knows!

I depends on what you value more really.

More mid range power or handling.

FRS and eibachs are on most people's list of best mods and for £530 it's relatively cheap and has a significant effect on the car. I couldn't believe the improvement it made.

Flashpro is great fun vtec at 3600 sounds great and you get a little extra mpg too. It will bring out the best in your HKS RSK.

I would wait and get FRS with eibachs at the same time IMO as it's a fixed price at TDI. You'll only have to get it done again further down the line.

Air temp is only one of the factors when making power tho. The design of the intake also makes a difference to air turbulance and resistance. The HKS does get some cold air when the cars moving as it retains the OEM cold air feed and there are some big scoops underneath the car. But on a very hot day when the cars not moving alot then yes it can suffer from heatsoak.

Will my vtec be set at around 3800rpm at tdi north?

It's come to my attention that different tuners set it differently according to what mods are on your car

My only mods will be flash and hks RSK

At the end of the day you want to swap to the 2nd cam when doing so woul dgive more power than the 1st cam.
Where you make most power and the perfect VTEC point will be affected by the mods you have.

I hope so, would be nice to hear the hks RSk in vtec more often as where it's set standard your already risking points on your licence more often than not
