silly me - offset is 35. the 9.5 tyre width is 265/35/19 i think...

i've used this calculator which tells me that they will extrude 52mm.......... from the standard 55offset with 7" wheels...

Wheel Offset Calculator

the pic is attached - but the ones i've seen have black spokes and look the scollops...

thanks fellas

SizePermitted - RimMeasuring -Rim Width - Section Width (mm)
XL 245/35ZR19 93Y8.0 - 9.5J (10.0) 8.5246"
XL 255/30ZR20 92Y8.5 - 9.5J (10.0) 9.0267"

You're really pushing the limits with a 245 on a 9.5" (241mm) rim
Anyway....

(225 * 0.45 * 2) + (17 * 25.4) * Pi() = 1993mm Circumference

(245 * 0.35 * 2) + (19 * 25.4) * Pi() = 2055mm Circumference

...your section size is too big for the rolling circumference. :rolleyes:

(255 * 0.30 * 2) + (19 * 25.4) * Pi() = 1997mm Circumference

Id recommend 255x30 r19 to keep your speedo in sync. :popcorn:

Now the question is does 267mm of tyre fit in the rear end ?
I'll have a look tommorrow in the light ;)

Wont fit!! It will stick out 45mm more than a normal Type R wheel!! (18x7.5 ET55)

And just to consider a 19x9.5 ET35 with 265mm tires on a Civic its nothing but a silly idea!!!

Your chassis will never be the same after some miles!

My findings......

FN3 TYPE S - 3 DOOR SHELL
[NB other models or even like vehicles may differ]

270mm rear shock to inner skin measured distance
35mm rear shock to inner tyre measured distance
wheel offset = 55mm
XL 225/45ZR17 94Y 7.0-8.5J (9.0) 7.5 226
Honda wheels = 17x7j with 225/45 R17 (210mm measured tyrewidth)

shock to tyre - tyre width - tyre to inner skin (extrapolated) = shock to inner skin @ offset
These are approximate....
35mm - 210mm - 25mm = 270mm @ 55mm offset
30mm - 210mm - 30mm = 270mm @ 60mm offset
02mm - 266mm - 02mm = 270mm @ 60mm offset

Mate...this will be so tight there is no room for error in the offset or the shock to inner skin distance if the width of wheel or tyre is anything over 260mm actual.

This will be the absoulte max you could go...and id recommend you do not attempt it unless you can test fit it first for clearance.

so 255 x 30 r19 with 9.5jx19 ET60 rims is theoretically possible.
ET35 rims will stick out 25mm too far.

koof! bad news for me as i've ordered them................................ the offset is defo 35, guess theres nothing i can do about that.

but i guess i could buy a 350z and use them on there!!!!!!! (no i'll sell them as i got them cheap - ish)

urrrgh! i might try them and look at extending my arches...... modifying arches looks possible as 2.5" of them is plastic.... these wheels are just too darn nice.

your help is much appreciated Relic man....
