I initially ordered red , then changed to silver after a couple of weeks. When the brochure came out i was back in two minds. I stuck to silver in the end though.

I beg to differ the CTR should be championship white! it's the only colour for a Honda Type R

you can not buy a real Honda Type R in Europe...
real R models are the JDM ones... with light body no A/C, no powersteering... etc. and with LSD!!!
that's why they don't sell it in white!!

The last JDM civic did not have a lighter body and had air con. yes it did have a LSD and slightly more power (on jap 100 ron fuel)
The DC5 teg also has aircon.
The issue with whhite paint is due to british conditions being bad for champ white and causing it to fade over time

I really like silver cars but don't you think with the Type R you want something that really stands out?
Having said that the trailer load I saw today all looked great.

Lots of cars about with white paint and they look fine to me. What causes the white to fade more rapidly than the other colours?

I am not really sure as im not a paint expert. But the colour championship white that honda use on the type r cars is not actually a pure white, its an off white.
Its well known that for some reason this colour is not suited to british climate

How does white fade? Leave your red car in the sun, eventually it goes through pinks to a ****** shade, what the hell happens to white.
