Hi, any tips for cleaning and keeping the car clean?

Spent a good couple of hours today washing, drying and buffing up the paint.

Just be very careful and take your time with it is the only advice I can give you. There is no wonder product that keeps the car clean. There's products that make the cleaning easier, like making sure the paintwork is decontaminated and well protected so the dirt 'falls off' while washing. Honda paint is the softest paint around, sometimes I think its actually butter on the car rather than paint such is its relative softness.

Get into the cleaning section, its a hive of activity and full of help and advice.

Cheers and good luck.
Matt

It's all relative mate. Although the paint is soft, it is only soft by paint standards, its still on a solid panel and still quite hard compared to actual butter.. Stones are hard so its inevitable its going to chip, and that said, it chips easier than harder paint it seems. BMW's and Mercs with considerably harder paint still end up with them :(

IMO stone chips are not matter of soft paint, soft paint causes swirls etc but not stone chips. Bonnets geometry and shape is the major reason for that.

Could it be we have less paint than other manufacturers? just a thought? My NHB CTS does loads of mway miles and is peppered all over with them!

With the cleaning my best advice is read through as much of the cleaning section as possible the basics are the most important ie two bucket method, decent equiptment itll cost a few quid but its so worth it in the long run (and im as tight as a ducks ass!) I find Autogylyms ultra deep shine gives a nice deep shine and HD wax (if i wasnt a tight ass id definately invest) gives impeccable results! but im not clued up on some of the specialist cleaners, polishes, waxes etc so just food for thought!

Ask the salesmen Kotsos
They say the same as you
However..Sorry, youre both wrong
If it was the shape of the car then there wouldnt be any on the side and the roof
Basically..as said, its crap paint AND thin
Anyway..I dont want to start all this all over again
Matt.
Thanks for your thoughts
