basically the person who owned the car before me smoked...a lot! and so has ruined the cigarette lighter that I use to charge my mobile whilst driving. you have to wiggle it about to get it to work and then leave it in the correct position (very annoying!).
So I decided to get a 4 way cigarette lighter splitter of ebay in the hope that once it was in the correct position I could just leave it there and disconnect and connect my chargers from that unit a lot easier BUT the stupid cheap bit of kit has broken the cig lighter and now nothing works when I plug it in! It sounded like a fuse went as soon as I plugged it in and was therefore wondering if anyone knows what fuse it would be and how i could check/change it? (i couldn't find any spare fuses in the fuse box either )

The funny thing is that nothing comes up on the display in the rev counter - I would have thought if a fuse was blown it would tell me something?

many thanks!

I'm sorry perhaps I wasn't clear in my post - this is post #11 from that thread

"Fuse number 29 in the interior fusebox is for the cigarette lighter.

(The question has come up a few times recently)"

Does that make it clear
