Wiring is tucked in between hard plastic trim and felt, from passenger side , down through jack compartment and across to compressor compartment. Wires from driver side and bootlight taken down the same way to compressor compartment where all joined together with a 500ma fuse in wire from bootlight. Trim at back of boot removes easily upwards to get wires across, and wire connected to boot light by stripping about 1 cm and poking in and wrapping round terminals on light (not connector, and securing with a wrap of insulating tape. I used 3A speaker wire for connections,a bit more copper to play with. A bit mickey mouse-ish I know, but I did the same on my Jazz to put in an extra brighter boot light and it worked fine for 2 years.
You could use the same method to put in a more sensible white COB led light, but it wouldn't be blue !!
