Hi :)

French civic addict need some assistance please. Hope you'll be the one who will make my day

Situation : I'm currently living in France, working in Switerland and crossing Germany for few minutes to join office or to go back home.
My civic is equipped with Bluetooth (executive Navi pack) and my SIM card is a Swiss one (hope you still follow me :D )

How should I proceed to give international call ? independently I'm in Switzerland, France or Germany ? I tried for example for France to add the following N°
00 33 (for France) .... but the phone N° is not recognized
I tried as well only 33 (for France) .... but here again it does not fit
The only solution I found is to wait until I cross the border, to be in France to call a french N° (without French international code), the same solution for the Swiss N°
But this does not fix my problem at all :? :? :?

Help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thanks a lot in advance and enjoy your evening !

Surely it's exactly the same as when you are not using the bluetooth... At all times you can use the format +33 (not 0033) and it should always work wherever you are. So if you save a French number as +33 222 123456 and dial it when still in France, it will still work.

hummm that is to say that the system recognize the "+" ? I tried but failed :-/

When I spell the number (since the only way to get a phone call via the bluetooth without using the phone is to set into memory the phone N°) it seems that I cannot add any + #

Can you ?

Just press "*" twice to get a "+" :D

If that's what you were wondering.

It's very useful to save all numbers with the country code in front of them, even if you are in the same country most of the time.

arf, no this is not my concern. In fact in the french bluetooth system, you have to set by voice each phone N°.
So I speack to the microphone and say each digit of the full number to have it in memory (for then being in position to say "call home" for example)
But I do not know how to say an international phone N°

I hope you understand my problem (not to easy)

no since my Bluetooth is set in French language.

But even when I call with my private hand phone the phone paired with the bluetooth, it does not make the link and does not ring through the bluetooth.
There's really something wrong ;-/

I think that some phones have a feature in their menu, which automatically applies the " + " symbol before all calls - Woul dthis solve your problem??

I don't think so as all my phone N° recorded on my mobile (QTEK 9100) are already on the international format. But since the N° that are dialed (at least I think) are the one I set vocally in the car's bluetooth system, there seems to be no link betwwen the N° I record on the bluetooth and the one already recorded on my mobile.

I'm unfortunately becoming to beleive that the Audi bluetooth system is more convenient (you get directly access to your phone index through the dashboard screen)
