Hello

I have just bought an SE and had the bluetooth kit added as a separate item. However, there is no user manual and the instructions under (HFT) in the handbook does not seem to work.

Does anyone know how to pair up a phone to the bluetooth kit and have some general instructions they can share?

1. How much did it cost?
2. How does fitting affect the airbag on the A pillar?
3. They owe you some instructions, speak to the dealer.

It cost a fortune £350 and appears not to be worth it.

It does fit onto the side pillar. There are only three basic buttons, on, mute and redial / volume.

It is not picking up on the two phones I have tried to link it to though.

Our Honda dealer has a lot to answer for!

Definitely. Just ask for a refund unless they can get it working and give you instructions!

I'm thinking of actually seeing how much an a-pillar is fitted and dumping my HFT; it's that bad! The Parrot looks so much better.
I got it as part of the ex-demo, but probably would have got it anyway; but SO glad I didn't have to pay for it directly.

I hope this helps!

Thanks very much for the instructions.

Success!

I rang the dealer and was told that the bluetooth kit does not come with instructions. However, if anyone does need detailed instructions on how to work it, the dealer can print out something from their Hondacom system.

The only downside appears to be if you have multiple phones. If someone else connects their phone to the system, it will automatically disconnect yours and you will have to manually connect it again when they have finished.

Have you not had the HFT fix done? Mine is fine now, my boss will let me talk to customers on it now.
wasn't that more to do with you signing the contract promising to stop swearing at them*?

*ok, so you were actually swearing at the HFT

This is different, this is the one on the a-pillar, sound quality is good....usability isn't!

Bluetooth

Was thinking of having the Honda bluetooth fitted but didn't want to pay the extra on company car tax. Have been using the bluetooth on my Garmin Nuvi GPS - works quite well. At long last my company's car kit installers have found a cable to silence the radio and I am having a hands free kit installed next week complete with cradle that also charges the phone.
