Please leave your feedback after few hundred miles - I'm stuck between PBS and DS2500. PBS squeal putting me off, but performance is better.

Will do, it was a toss up between the DS and PBS. After a lot of reading I came to the conclusion most think the C-Hook and PBS combo was better. I'll see, may try DS when the PBS need replacing if not happy with the performance of them or they squeal too much.

Any update on the brake pads, mate? Can't decide between ds2500, ds3000 and pbs. Or maybe project mu hc800 or pagid rsl29...
if it helps I've been using DS2500's for years in spoon callipers work very well cold for day to day driving.

@ghost_bhp Yeah, just ordered a set couple of hours ago. Looks to be a bit better performance than oem and quiet.
Would you say they make lots of dust? I gave a grey wheels, so should be too bad anyway.

Apologies for the late reply, but not really had chance to test them as not driven the car very far for a couple of weeks. Initial thoughts are they are better than OE, not tested them though.

Quick Update

All the calipers and discs are now fitted to the car, feels better but haven't had much chance to test the brakes in anger yet as still bedding them in.

I have also relocated the Intake Air Temperature sensor from the air box side of the supercharger to after the charger and just before the inlet plenum, this now gives a more accurate intake air temperature for the ecu to calculate the FA
Because I'm a firm believer in all the little gains build to one big one, I also used the gold reflective tape on the intake pipes and engine side of the inter-cooler to hopefully help with cooler intake temps.

I've also fitted a Walbro 255 fuel pump, all of which seems to have made the car run smoother, including the V-tec crosser being smoother and not so aggressive now.

Next on the list is better tyres, most likely PS4's, engine mount inserts, will be looking into changing the Gruppe-M to a Skunk2 intake when funds allow, a more free-flow but quiet exhaust (again when funds allow) and better injectors to the RC750's in atm. Then it will be back for calibrating the map for the changes.

Th
Nice wrapping!
Thanks, you wouldn't believe how much of a pain it is to do right. The Mrs did the smaller pipe which I think looks the best :)

Just read your build so far, all i can say is wow. Keep up the quality work! Eager to see what comes next.
Thanks, appreciated. Work in progress, things are starting to come expensive so progress will slow down for a bit.

This weekend I had engine mount inserts fitted and a oil and filter change. I can feel the extra vibration with the inserts fitted but the car is gripping better, no wheel hop and also the whole car feels heavier and more planted on the front.

Plans are going forward,

1st - PS4 tyres, a must as the grip is terrible with the skidmasters I have on atm.

Then,
Change the RC750 injectors out for better ones, either ID or Deatschwerks
Exedy Stage 1 clutch when the OE gives up the ghost. and have the clutch bypass done at the same time.
If grip is still an issue I'll look at a 4.3 final drive at the same time as the clutch.
Then at some point a custom exhaust for better flow and if I'm feeling flush maybe a Feels manifold so I can still run the scorpion sports CAT.

That should do I think, for now.

What manifold and exhaust system are you running atm?
Standard manifold and standard system with a scorpion sports cat.

Wow, that's impressive given the bhp you are running, I had no idea you could charge them and run the standard exhaust setup.

I got a 2.5" piper manifold for mine because they do the cat bolt on (rather than a decat or b pipe cat). Having 2nd thoughts about fitting it though because I drove an FK8 the other day (poss daily), so might keep the FN as it is.

thanks, I’ve read conflicting reports that the cat is restrictive and not the manifold, then the manifold is restrictive and the system.
many free flow system must be an improvement. Nice problem to have FK8 or FN2 lol

Well I did catch myself looking at a Rotrex kit last week! :) ... but after thinking about it, it's more than enough fun on the track as it is and there are other improvements I want to do like getting matching koni adjustables for the front etc.

I'll probably just sell the piper (bit of an impulse buy last year). Whats nice as it stands is that I can still go back to the stock map ... but that wouldn't be possible/ideal with the piper installed. The piper is brand new, ping me a message if its something you are interested in.

I did look into the piper, but had read (I think it was after I emailed them) that the piper CAT would not stand up to supercharging so avoided it and went with the Scorpion one who confirmed it would be OK with a supercharger. Thanks for the offer though.

Ahhh, yeah that rings a bell re the Piper cat as its pretty short. You could always decat it and throw the piper cat on just at mot time :)

What the expected bhp figures with a manifold and/or exhaust on yours?
