Call me silly... but I just wanted to ask with the standard OEM brake setup on the FN2, has anyone else ever had extremely hot pads and discs even after a relatively short spirited drive?

I'm talking hot to the point where it's hard to hold your hand near the alloy /caliper on the fronts and you can really smell it too (rears aren't too bad). I only ask as my Brembos on my Megane never got anywhere near as hot, apart from when on track getting real abuse.

Calipers aren't binding and I only get a little brake fade on the OEM setup after 30 mins of hard driving so I'm not too worried - it could be the pads or discs on there (may have been changed by previous owner) but they definitely need swapping out for a new setup!

Either that or some sort of brake ducts for the FN2 to get air to those calipers!

I don't think you have a problem there.
Pads and discs are constantly in contact after all.
If there was a problem, you would hear it.

LMAO - thanks guys! Well they were certainly getting smoked!! I think brakes are the first upgrade on the list and will certainly improve my confidence in the car!
