Drove to working this morning and lots of scrapeing and nasty noises on the way. By looks of it its front Pads, Front Disc's and same on rear! Darnit!​

• Looking to replacement what cost am i looking at?

• Also looking to paint the calipers a nice red what paint shall i use?​

Mtec Disks (drilled and grooved) with Mintex pads were £160 ish
I'd upgrade the pack to have the Mintex Red pads though (£10 more i think)
The normal Mintex are the same as OEM pads and aren't made to be trashed

Disks are brilliant though!!

For circa £200 you can get a full set of disks and pads that are better than OEM, can't knock it really

hmm green stuff look good low dust! and loveing the bembo discs any changes to the breaks i will need to tell my insurance company wont i?

not for the discs they are oem spec the pads probably although i doubt anyone does? i did though

DIY jobby if your a bit handy save on the labour - I have a 10% discount code for brake depot - 10% code: BD0611 happpy with mine so far and they do full packages on there as well

been told to not drive the car only to garage as noise is bad! Darnit what ever happen to a warnning light on the dash! PS3 style you never have to replace pads and disks when playing GT5

Haha, How long do the discs last on track cars?
From what i read wasn't it the rapid heating and cooling that caused hair line cracks around the drill holes?

From what i saw it put me off enough to just get grooved anyhow, bit more noisy under heavy braking, but i'm not too fussed. I'm more focused on trying to keep my eyeballs in their sockets when it happens.

What temp do the brembo didcs go to? Are they coated too? Do they contain more carbon?

I seem to recall my EBC turbogroove are zinc coated and temp rated to 600C or 900C or something in that region

I seem to think at the time it was a factor of double or triple OEM discs in terms of temp rating

Not sure about the brembos though................
