I replaced my tie rods yesterday and of course need a full alignment of the front, however as the camber has no adjustment I’m going to get top bolt set to enable that to be dialled in.

From memory my camber was a touch out before (last alignment was some time ago) my question is doesn’t anyone know what ideal spec for the 1.8 is for camber and if I’m actually better to ask for it to be adjusted closer to the -1 camber on each side similar to the FRS?
My car is not lowered so not sure if going for anything but full factory spec is a good idea

I put camber bolts on my 1.8. I thought the FRS camber setting is -2 degrees, which I asked for. I just checked the sheet and all they could get with one set of bolts was -0.52 on one side and -0.53 on the other. Id suggest buying two sets and doing both bolts, or at least having two sets incase they cant get to where you want to be. I guess they wouldn't charge too much extra to fit them if they needed.

Gocha yeah, I’ll fit both lower bolts to allow full adjustment. It should allow +/- 3 degrees total from where it is now so should get me close.

hopefully someone can confirm but I’m sure I saw camber is 2.3 negative total which is just over eg 1 each side so should be fine.

toe I believe it 0.5 out on both sides so 1 degree total

the garage run a Hawkeye system and can dial it to what I want so I want as close as possible.

Ffs car booked in tomorrow for alignment, bolts picked up today and they don’t fit. I’ve been given the 16mm type R ones not the 14mm, bloody annoying that is only when everything is apart and you offer the new one up is the first you realised lol.

Also checked again and TDI north offered up their front end specs on here before. Each specialist may have a slight variation but toe was out +1 across the axel and neg camber was -1 each side as a starter. So that’s what I’ll spec and take it from there

Yea the Type R has the bigger ones, TDi actually queried when I ordered the smaller Eibach 14mm ones.

Good to know 14mm is the right size from someone who fitted. Everywhere online include ECP, demon tweaks and powerflex themselves say it’s the 16mm kit for my reg. Was worried I was missing something as it def didn’t fit lol

thanks for your help
