it may need reset due to the battery change
also if the car been standing like you say it don't take much drop in 1 tyre sometimes to trigger the tyre deflation

I had exactly the same problem shortly after I first got mine. Didn't have to pump though. Just press hard. But pumping is a good tip.

When trying to reset the tyre pressure warning it says failed when pressing initialize. Does it have to be driven for it to calibrate or is that another problem.

Yes, it has to be driven to calibrate. Quote from the manual: "The calibration process requires approximately 30
minutes of cumulative driving at speeds between 48−105 km/h (30−65 mph)."

Took it for a drive this morning, still didnt work. Ended up getting the pump out even though they are already at 32 psi and then it worked. Crazy car.
