Could I please have power and volume estimates for the below combinations, all including intake such as hks rsk, and mapped flashpro -

1. Sports catted manifold, OEM catback exhaust.

2. Sports catted manifold, tegiwa catback exhaust.

Power gains important hence looking into manifold, but if I spend the money on that don't want to spend even more on cat back as well if no need.
Also tegiwa cat back would sound nice and not too loud, but dont want a manifold if it will go all ASBO.

Probably my last tuning question as getting decisions made now.

Thanks yet again.

Is this re. the Martellius

I don't think one has been tested yet seeing as it doesn't even fit RHD

No the solid fabrications group buy on here.

Also doesn't exist yet, but just wanted estimates based on past experiences.

Realistically it will definitely be less than the results for the TDI,CPL,Toda,Tegiwa we have at the minute.

To what extreme I have no idea sadly- will definitely be interesting

Defineely less?, you reckon?

Well it's going to have a cat on it as opposed to all the other manifolds mentioned which have no cat so chances are it will be more restrictive therefore making less gains

Oh yeah cool. Decat option will be interesting... But tegiwa have that space already...

Of course it will be less, not unless they have found a way to make more power than existing systems ( they haven't)

Well I have tegiwa manifold and cat back with 400 cel cat. Check out civinfo dyno day for the dip in bhp and torque when vtec kicks in.

Yes but thats because you fitted a Tegiwa manifold and had a map done by Chris Stubbs, aka CivicRSA.

Then fitted a Cat in your no.1 resonator location and did not remap, then had a power run.

You just removed a massive restriction to engine breathing and VE and had a map, then re- introduced one.

It doesn't matter if a manifold has a cat or not, if it is mapped to suit it is 100% possible to tune VTC and VTEC to ensure you don't get a torque spike and have asmooth linear crossover

So what sort of gains are the de-catted manifolds then?

Will the manifold greatly increase the volume?

Decat manifold with map on a std car you looking at about 15 bhp peak and about 40-50 in places midrange

Had quick search on google, seems people were quoting circa 230-235 with intake, catback, manifold and map? Is that a bit optimistic?

If it had past its mot it would not have been in for more than a couple of days and for that reason I'm not going to get another map done for one day of the year. Was just trying to say it would lose power. ( in drunken terms)

only if its not mapped, anything will lose power

Fit decat manifold + map = no loss in power
fit catted manifold and map = no loss in power
fit decat manifold and add cat and map= no loss in power

fit anything after map = loss in power

Haha I was also wondering this since that group buy. But any manifold even with 400 CEL cat would be much better than OEM manifold right? So either way you gain a few horses?
