Hi,

I have a 2008 ex diesel and the central locking is playing up. The drivers door occasionally will not lock via the remote nor the internal button on the drivers door but always locks via the key. Anyway, mentioned to dealer who wants £60 to locate problem! Anyone seen this before and give me a few pointers as to what it could be.

Looks like it could be the solenoid. However, the boot also doesn't lock. Can the drivers door solenoid affect the boot lock also

Seem to have the opposite problem. Drivers door will not open with remote. this stops the boot unlocking as well, but the other 3 doors work fine.

Anyone any ideas?

I'm having similar problems and I think it's the contact inside the key, when I press the button on the key the light that shows you've made contact doesn't always light up.

Now that I've focussed myself on the fact that the key sometimes doesn't work its become apparent that it is the contact inside the key that's causing the problem. The solution has yet to be discovered.
