Right, woke up this morning in a great
mood because tomorrow me and my mates
are going on holiday to center parks in the Type S.
And what a suprise, some dirty chav has decided
that he wants to ruin my day and has hit my passenger
wing mirror, twisted it round so it looks like its facing
the floor.

To be honest, i knew i wouldnt be able fix it (due to
it being electric) but decided try and move it back
to position....wouldnt move!!

So got in the car disheartend, turned engine on and
clicked the button that moves the mirrors to the out
position, and to my amazement, the passenger mirror
that had been twisted, moved all the way back to normal
position!! Result!....more than that, the mechanism is
totally fine!

So yea, it seems that the mirrors are fairly well made, i was impressed.

And i hope all Chavs die! but not only die, but die a
painful death...with swine flu!

Also, i noticed on my front bumper (the body kit part)
where the two pieces of trim meet each over (underneath
fog light) the two pieces arent exactly connecting together...(not chav damage)

If i took it to dealer should they put that back together??
Because I havent even knocked it, it just seems that
its come loose or something.

Why can't people just leave stuff alone that isn't theirs? Obviously jealous cause only way he could ever get a car half as nice is benefit fraud!

Secondly, very glad that your mirror is ok!

lastly, if the trim has come loose, the dealer should fix it under warranty, its exactly what has happened with mine (only its where the wheel arch and sideskirt trim meet) and the dealer has ordered new clips to be fitted when they arrive, no problems. Mention it mate, it will do no harm :)

still stereotyping and classism you wouldnt come on here and start being a racist or sexist its a forum where there are people for different walks of life so what gives you the right to discriminate

from wikipedia:

" The stereotypical "chav" is a aggressive teenager or young adult, of working class background, who wears branded sports and casual clothing, who often engages in anti-social behaviour"

The anti-social behaviour part is what we are referring to.

If someone is greedy, you call them a pig...its a simile same thing here. We're not calling you anti-social, we're comparing the damage done to the car as that of a Chav's behaviour...

Peace

jesus some people are sooooo touchy.

Im hardly acting stupidly!

Yea im being stereotypical but it annoys me
that i wouldnt do that to other people but
obviously some people do want to!

Its all based on circumstances anyway, you
dont no my town, I dont no it wasnt a chav
but i would put my future mortgage on the fact
that it was!

Could have been a careless old f*rt like me who's not very good at manouevring.

A few years ago in a car park in the centre of Brockenhurst in the New Forest - where large animals wander all over the place - I saw a large cow push its way down a line of cars parked fairly close to a hedge. I bet a few mirrors had to be readjusted when their owners returned to their cars.

Ahh the New Forest, such a lovely place to go for a drive :)

is there an option on the civic for the mirrors to automatically fold in when the engine is turned off?

this is possible, but you would need electric mirrors as standard, and a little box of tricks to get you started.
