My mate is looking for a civic for under £5500 and I've seen this for him but it seems very cheap for the spec. I know it has 86000 miles but it's only had 1 owner and got FSH what do you guys think? Too good to be true or just great deal? Cheers

that is VERY cheap...
mine has 115k on it - and I had an offer from a friend of a friend for £5200 as he knew how much I cared for it etc... and he was dead kean... thing is I couldn't find a replacement/ put the money to to upgrade to a type r.. so I held up!

It's now been dropped to £4300 hmmm he seems very keen to get rid which is worrying my mate. Is there anything to look out for with the 1.8's?

Yeah I noticed the aftermarket exhaust. If my mate buys the car I'll be having that off him for my derv I'm guessing it will be a straight swap?

He's not shipping from abroad he lives 10 minutes down the road and says I can test drive it whenever I want as its mint. I'll take my mate down in Saturday I think and give it a good spin. Anything to look out for on these or just the usual knocking, clutch slip etc?
