Well, the Civic diesel has indeed an amplifier. I had to connect the speaker wires directly to the ISO plug, otherwise I didn't get any sound.

Hi Joooe. I am in dire need of your assistance please. I have a Chinese brand HU, and I am struggling to get it to switch on. I too also had two plugs empty after installation, and it just won't switch on. I'll worry about wiring the sound to work at least after I know it comes on. I have the Connects2 kit exactly like you have, and I too have the 2.2 diesel with the Amplified sound system. Please assist.

Thats quite strange. It should power on without any moding needed. It's really plug and play. Maybe a faulty unit? Does it have a visible fuse? Check it. Recheck cable plugs are properly connected.

I checked the fuse. It's good to go. The HU powers up if I connect all the permanent power wires to the ACC wires, even with the car key out of the ignition, but obviously won't turn off. So I know the HU works, and so does its own little loom. It seems the problem is with the Connects2 interface, because with the Interface connected, then the HU doesn't turn on at all, even with the ACC wires all connected to the 12V+ wires... I'm in South Africa, so sending the Kit back to be checked is out of the question. Looks like I'll have to take the Interface/Kit to Electronics specialist to have it checked on the bench.

I just remembered someone had a problem with the cables, specifically the plugs. It seems that the little 'blades' in the connectors can be out of line and cause a bad connection. Check visually or with a multimeter.

You were right. The one large plug that connects to the car from the Connects2 kit is faulty. So, we bypassed the ACC cable directly, and HU turns off and on with the key. Thanks

Next up, to get the speakers working with the Premium Audio System... Got instructions on that by any chance?

Yes, the amp is located in the centre console, just below the AC controls. It's acessible from the footwell.
Thanks! Now it's time to install apps and fine tuning the sound.
Maybe I'll change the speakers later, I don't know. For now it's oem.
Hey Joooe. I'm nearly done bud. I just need your assistance as to how you got the radio to work with the amp/speakers. Can you help?

Finally made it. The issue was a pin inside the cconnects2 adapter that wasn't connecting to the car's harness. The steering wheel controllers work as expected. Will post later on some more pics with the unit.

Hello,

I have a RHD mk9 and I notice your facia kit is grey but everywhere I look they only want to sell the black one which I believe fits the uplifted face model.

Could you or anyone please let me know where I can find a grey one?

thankyou
