Hi guys,

I own a 9 generation Honda Civic (facelift) with the 1.8 petrol engine, manual transmission and 60.000 kilometers / 37.200 miles.

At the beginning of december the cluch started to judder for 1 day - then everything was ok for two weeks.

After the two weeks the clutch started again to judder for one day.

Its only when the car drive off in the first gear and after 30 minutes of driving. If the car is cold, there are no problems.

I dont know why, I think its not the temperature outside, when it happened the first time we had 1 degree and the second time we had 14 degree. I drive normally and do not drive off quickly.

Nobody can help me here because there are very few civic owners in germany.

Thx for answers, I hope you can help me.

Clutch judder is usually contamination of the friction material, or uneven wear to clutch plate, flywheel or release bearing.

Could also be engine mounts getting worn allowing engine and gearbox to move excessively. I would check this first as it's easiest (and cheaper!).
