Hi all,

Just bought the Civic 2.2 icdti Type S GT after owning a number of petrol Honda's for the past 15 years.

The car is on an 08 plate and has a full service history, although not all with Honda towards the end (currently on 99000 miles).

What would you recommend I do for the first self service on this car to ensure
it runs at its best.

Thanks
Craig.

Welcome Craig, good choice of vehicle ! ;)

In answer to your question...

1. Buy one of these...http://www.civinfo.com/forum/site-suggestions-feedback-rules/1206-buy-civinfo-stickers-support-site.html...will adds 5-10 bhp !

2. Good quality, fully synthetic oil 0w30 or 5w30.

3. Clean your EGR valve, 45 minute job, £13 for 2 gaskets...http://www.civinfo.com/forum/how/72471-how-clean-remove-fk3-2-2-diesel-egr-valve.html

4. If budget allows, better quality brake pads, like :ebc: Yellowstuff...http://www.civinfo.com/forum/wheels-tyres-suspension-brakes/20398-15-discount-ebc-brakes-direct.html
