I would like to offer a professional, comprehensive and nationwide repair service for an I-shift system/clutch actuator in your Civic or Jazz if it becomes faulty.

If you encountered one of the following:
  • cog wheel symbol popped on a dash display during driving, but disappeared after engine restart (see pic)
  • unable to select gear from neutral ("N" flashing)
  • gearbox stuck in gear/reverse
  • flashing "A" symbol and unable to start the engine
  • you have a diagnosed error P0810

then you have an issue with your I-shift system, most likely clutch actuator and/or gear actuators.
I have repaired many Civics that suffered dreaded I-shift problems, never had any complaints or problems appeared again.

I offer a repair guaranteed for three months using genuine Honda parts where applicable.
I will flush and bleed the system and after repair - perform static and dynamic learning of the Engine Control Module using Honda diagnostic system.
I will also run a full check for any other errors stored in the car's computer.

Repair takes approx. 5-6 hours and all I need is some room around you car and an access to a power outlet.
Repair is done for £320 all inc. + fuel expenses (£0.4 per mile travelled)

Due to work commitments I can only do the repairs during weekends.

If you are interested, please drop me a private message including car details and a brief description of the problem.
Thanks
Hi do you still offer this service? I have encountered the same problem on a 06 1.8 ishift. Usually when I switch it on and off it would re set and start again. But this morning I tried to start it cranked but switched off midway and then tried to start again and the cogs have shown up with a flashing 8 on the gear selector screen. Tried to disconnect the battery and see if it re-set on some way but no luck.

Any advice will do. Thanks.

Hi,

I am based in Birmingham and own a Civic 2010 1.4 i-Shift. The car was driving OK until now. Other day I was stuck in traffic and I don't have the habit of putting the gear in neutral in traffic which I should for i-Shift.

The gearbox then suddenly stopped responding and would not shift to any gears. After 1 hour cooling down the car started and I could move the car on a safe place, but within 10 minutes the fault returned and gearbox stopped responding again. One of my friend ran a diagnostic and i-Shift module came up with code P0562 and P0810. He suspect the clutch actuator failed due to the misuse and also being a common issue within I-shift.

Are you available to look into this issue?

Please contact me on 07940411895.

Many Thanks in advance.

Dan visited me last weekend and spent the best part of 3 hours working on the civc. He tested drove it before letting me test drive it. The car has been working great without any problems since.

I can highly recommend Dan. He knows his stuff and is a very polite person.

Hi,

This is Leo. I have a `07 Auto Civic (1.8 IVTEC SE) and I have met the first fault-'cog wheel symbol popped on a dash display during driving, but disappeared after engine restart ' mentioned in your post. The car is drivable as normal now after a restart. May I ask whether it needs to be fixed now and whether you are available to help do it? Also, as I have planned to do a gearbox service (changing oil and filter) next week, I am wondering whether you could also help with this together as well. Or do you have any advice about this? Many thanks in advance.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Leo

Good morning guys.
My civic when I brought it had 60k on the clock so it's pretty low mileage for the age. It's a semi automatic gearbox and when I'm about to take off from 1st to 3rd gear the car jumps and it almost feels like it wants to cut out. The only time it doesn't jump as much when the car is driven 40+ mph without showing down. So I took it to a gearbox specialist and fitted a new clutch from Honda. All good for few weeks then the car starts jumping again just like before. Diagnoses test when was done by the gearbox specialist came up with 3 different codes.

HELP .. cog wheel gear
Hi Stewartpoole33.
I cannot find such a code in my database. Where did you get the error code from? Did you use some sort of universal code reader? Try the Pottsy's simple method: Read (and clear) diagnostic error codes with no special...
It will give you Honda specific type of codes and post results here.
Thanks
