Hello.
I have a 58 plate Civic ES. There are two switch blanks next to the cigarette lighter which is where the heated seat switches would go if fitted. Now there lies my question. The other cold morning after I had been driving for a few minutes I felt the unmistakable feeling of warmth in the back of the seat. My wife asked me tonight if it had got heated seats as both she and her friend felt this warmth. My Volvo has heated seats and so we are both familiar with them.
When I felt the warmth I thought it must be an automatic heater which comes on at low temperatures but I've Googled it and checked the handbook but there is no evidence that such a system even exists.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
None of us are incontinent or have spilt warm drinks before anyone suggests it:)
Cheers.

Unless there's switches either side of the lighter then no you don't have heated seats

I think items 37/38 are the heat pads.
The diagram shows them but does not list them or price them on the type S.

But they are priced/listed on the EX.

I know in some cases its cheaper for them to install components and not actually wire them up.
The cruise control is a case in point.

We also know that the diesel switches on the heated screen all buy itself wether you switch it on or not if temp is below a certain level ;)

is it a diesel? could be the warm fuel being recirculated through the fuel tanks under the seats ;)
