Okay, at the start of November one of my neighboughs reversed into my car.
At first he said ill give you the money to repair it properly, so i said fair enough, so i got a quote from my body shop of choice and gave it to him.
At the end of December he knocks on my door and says he cant afford the quote, so he said he's going through his insurance.
Now its gets weird, he says he as sent the quote off to aviva, now this quote was just under £350, he then tells me his excess was £500... Is it just me or does that not make sense lol...
Then a few weeks ago i get a phone call from 'aviva' saying they need authorisation to do they work, so i gave it to them as anyone would, i just phoned the body shop and they say that they havent heard from aviva since they needed the authorisation.
So straight away i phoned aviva so see what the hell their playing at, give them the reference number and they say nothings showing up on their system, same with number plate, or anything to do with my car, then they asked for his number plate, but dont have it because his taxi is parked next me all they time so never bothered to take it as i can get it anytime, just happens its not there.
Now the other thing is how did aviva get my phone number? i never gave it to him, and aviva wouldn't have been in contact with my insurance company would they??
Just thought i would post it up here as this really does strike me as weird.
Do correct me if im wrong as this is my first claim or anything to do with an insurance company except for handing out money!
