Wondered if anyone has had this?

When I'm changing up the gears there is a clearly audible "click".

Nothing feels loose, gears always been pretty crisp and notchy but it's starting to annoy me.

Asked local dealer about it when car was in about brakes and of course they couldn't replicate the noise.

Their answer - video it on your phone.....

So driving with phone in hand to video my gear change? One hand on gear stick, another on phone duty, third hand on wheel??

Mine clicks too. They probably couldn't replicate it because it's normal?
You could always get someone else to hold the phone.

Same here, upshifts only. Especially on a quiet road and at town speeds. Rolling down the windows does not make it more clear.

My clicking noise comes from the gear shift mechanism under the gaiter inside the car. No from the gearbox.

evening all,

Had a click on my 68 plate sport. Quite a loud click mostly on upshifts. Like others have mentioned the noise is inside the car inside the centre console, definitely not normal.
Dealer replaced the shifter housing first but the noise was still there. Had the cables replaced last week, not a singe noise since.

This is my second 1.5 sport no noises on the first one, this one made the noise intermittently since it was new.
