Hi all, I know there is already a group thread for failing and failed clutches but just looking for an answer to a question.

I contacted Honda today regarding supplying and fitting a new clutch. They told me including vat the price would be £630 then 5 minutes later the service guy called me back to say that the flywheel would also need to be replaced at the same time - total cost £1200. Is what i have been told correct.

Thanks

Sounds about right mate although the clutch only deal was £580 just a few months back. I take it your car has been in and inspected by Honda?
Don't rush into anything. Research the forum. Plenty info on here.
I ended up going down to Leeds for mine (CG 6 paddle clutch including flywheel cost £900) and seems to be a more reliable option than the Honda one. Trust me, i spent quite a few hours dealing with these robbers.
If you need any more help give me a shout.

the guy said the prices went up last wednesday :(

That`s Honda for ya.
More than happy to let you try out the CG clutch if you need to. I`m in Glenrothes.
Got mine remapped same visit and totally transforms the car.

Sorry speaking the fife way ;), How much should i expect to pay for this part to be replaced. Also will the clutch still need replaced aswell as this part
if youre going into the box its a false economy to not do the clutch [;ate as well, plus they come as one unit :(
